Batman The Brave and the Bold - Birds of Prey

So, Batman BatB is a fun cartoon, but dmn it all if it doesn't follow DCAU's clasic 'getting crap past the censors' tradition:

Re: The World is now a less funny place...

I have 10 GB worth of all of Carlin's HBO Specials and Inside the Actor's Studio. I always enjoy rewatching each and every one of them and have no plans on ever deleting them form my HDD. Unfortunately, i can't say that i have Leslie Nilsen's work on my computer, but i certainly enjoy rewatching all...

Re: Young Justice

finally watched the first 2 episodes. I've got mixed feelings about this. On one hand, it's new DCAU stories. On the other it has some noticable flaws that are hopefully going to be improved as the show progresses. The whole Cadmus and The Light thing seems kind of a overblown and misplaced cliche, ...

Re: SMWW Rant

On the whole "synonyms" thing. Both Superman and Wonder Woman are portrayed as beacons of hope and salvation and all that flower-power stuff. Their characters are there to inspire, to rally and give a sense of hope that no matter how dire the situation, good wil ultimately prevail. Their whole large...

yeah, that news was kind of a shock. I'm certainly going to miss his comedic talent.
This news hit me almost as hard as George Carlin's death.

techincally, murdering and killing are absolute actions with absolute consequences, regardless of the circumstances in which they occured, so even if it was in self-defence or for the 'greater good' it's still murder. plus, i kind of got the feeling that Batman pretty much resided himself to the pr...

you sure? because i was fairly certain that there was the whole mumbo about the bullet having some kind of god-poison to kill godlike being like Darkside, as it did Orion. And wasn't Death (on skis, no less) the one who finally did him in?

Re: Batman: Arkham City screen shots!

the one thing i constantly find myself asking is: what exactly is Batman supposed to be doing in Arkham City? I mean, it's basically an oversized Arkham Asylum plus a penal colony, so what happens to the crooks he beats up in Arkham City? That's the 'jail' they are all sentenced to, so even if he de...

Re: Morrison - Lucid or Loopy?

I've already expressed my opinion of Grant Morrison in another thread, so i'll keep it short. I think he's a lot like someone described the Joker, as in that he (re)invents himself over and over every new day. Morrison seems to play jump rope with the genius/madman line, so it's pretty much what day...

Re: Red Robin 17 Spoilers: Tim has his own Catwoman

Hehe. I liked that part of the issue and i'm surrprised how much I like the Red Robin stories. Will certainly like to see how Tim juggles Tam, Lynx and Stephanie Brown(yeah, it's over, but not quite over and ... it's complicated :P) By the way, can anyone shoot down or confirm this weird sneaky feel...

Re: Batman/Catwoman: Follow the Money #1

He has Isis, sad but true. :( The playboy in him would love nothing more then to ravish Diana but the Bat isn't going to allow him the experience, probably because he thinks it would take away from his mission. :( technically she walked away from him. I could never decide if the stupid, awkward smi...

Hell yeah! i can't wait to see Batle buttler Alfred go all Walter C. Dornez on some bad guy asses! As for the Bat/Cat thing, i wouldn't read that much into it atm. It's not as if it's something new. This kind of stuff has happened before, not sure how often. Plus, the really weird disposit...

Re: A very hard question re: BMCW vs BMWW

I don't really see the problem with the hero being married. It doesn't limit the writers at all, if they can actually look past their limited scope of stories and actualy work from the stand point of a married couple. Hell, it kind of seems like there's more room for drama there then before marriage...

SO the list is: Batman: The Return Batman Inc. #1 Batman #704 Batman/Superman #78 I've not gotten my fingers on Batman: Streets of Gotham #17 yet, unfortunately, and am not really interested in the Brave and the Bold stuff, so someone else can pick those up. Re: And the white lantern is............

Not just the haters. I'm a Batman fan through and through, but i can't really see that working. Especially not now that he's actualy back and in a new skin. That being said, i've just read Brightest Day #14, and while it wasn't anything that special, it did give me a bit of insight into Deadman's ch...

Batman - The Return and Inc., etc.

I haven't really been too well aquainted with Grant Morrisons work, but as i'm focusing on Batman comics i will get to see more of it. From what i can see, he is either a genius, or a madman. His stories are intriguing as you rarely really predict how they will develope, but sometimes that is becaus...

Re: DC Animated Movies

Most Batman sotries are bitter sweet and rarely with a happy ending. Even when they are, the journey to get there makes you question whether it was worth it. That's a misterious appeal in the character of Batman that makes him interesting in his own way and vindicates his living in the darkness and ...
