I haven't like the Snyder movies. The only thing that BvS had going for me was the BMWW relationship and based on the trailers for JL I felt like Snyder was moving in the direction of moving those characters closer (perhaps even some romance)
With this change in directors and the reshoots being so extensive (2-3 months), do you think the thing that's being changed with the reshoots is that relationship? I know all the press and PR is saying that this was still Snyder's movie but how much say do you guys thing Whedon has. Or more importantly how much say does Geoff Johns now have over this thing. That JL line-up is definitely his line-up (which I'm still not sold on - mostly because of Cyborg. I like Cyborg just not in the JL)
Could GJ be trying to influence the movie to have more SMWW? I could never get a gauge on GJ and which one he would prefer of BMWW or SMWW. He OK'd that Blackest Night issue but he also wrote the gross SMWW.
Could Whedon be setting Lois up to die? Since he has this stupid stance that someone "has to die so the stakes are more real" or what ever bs he says about that stuff....

Re: WHEDON ON JL
If the previous interactions between Bruce and Diana are any indication (namely in BvS and Wonder Woman), I think its safe to say they're actually setting it up...

Yup, while there is a mountain of evidence that BMWW is definitely something the DCEU is considering, I'm totally prepared for them to suddenly drop it out of the blue without any explanation. The fact that they didn't truly commit to anything might help WB make the decision to drop it.Dick Grayson(Age 12) wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 3:56 am...Or they could suddenly drop the death bomb for no reason. I believe Justice League will be the big test. If we get some strong BMWW vibes from it, then it's safe to say it's a strong possibility. Otherwise we might have to kiss any chances of BMWW happening any time soon goodbye.

1) The only thing I can think of that was really "shippy" in the Justice League trailers was that shot of Batman in a mecha saving Wonder Woman from parademons. Other than that, everything else just came across as standard witty banter.robpops wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 12:26 amI haven't like the Snyder movies. 2) I expect a lot of things to be changed and not for the better. Joss Whedon is not a very good writer, so any additional scenes are bound to have his trademark flanderizing of characters (Batman as world-weary cynical douche, Wonder Woman as Ms. Strong Independent Woman, Aquaman as meathead dumbass, Flash as the funny guy, Cyborg as a guy endlessly whining about his condition, and so on), plus his annoying directing style which makes even big screen movies look like they were filmed for TV.
3) Geoff Johns is a hack with nostalgia goggles. I'm not even sure he was that fond of SM/WW considering that he did his best to sabotage it later in the New 52, and I don't expect BM/WW, if it happens, to be any different. He'll let it be for a while, milk all he can out of it and then crush it into the dust in a way that's bound to make everyone pissed off (i.e. Batman claims Catwoman is his true love and ditches Diana, Wonder Woman betrays Bruce in a way that permanently wrecks his trust in her and their friendship, etc).
4) Lois is one of the "central characters", so Whedon won't dare kill her (plus, she's a female character. He's more likely to make her an unbelievable Action Girl than kill her). He only kills off side characters that are unimportant but endearing to the audience, to wring a cheap emotional reaction out of people.

Well Danny Elfman is now the composer, not Junkie XL so that's one positive change

Figured after recent times the foot of my posts needed a pun, so I had to shoehorn one in.
