I remember that article .. and I miss the Silver Age Brave & the Bold .. after all these years when I see the old Neal Adams Batman (in that Blue Grey colour scheme) I just want to shove it into the face of artists today to show them how its done .. fluid movements, expressive faces .. he drew the perfect Batman (yeah his storytelling skills leave a lot to be desired)
But I never appreciated Jim Aparo's work as much as I did after reading this article .. and the relationship between heroes here is so brilliantly and maturely written .. when I read Geoff Johns and his adolescent handling of relationships in JL I feel like telling him to go read something good, watch something better and write something worth reading
