Young Justice season 3???

I'm really, really eager to see it, but i'm a little apprehensive about the amount of characters in the trailer.

While i love the previous 2 seasons, they had serious pacing problems, especially with the breakneck rush at the end.

New trailer just hit the internet and all of my enthusiasm for the new season went out the window when i saw Young Justice Wonder Woman using the DC Animated Movie Universe (the New 52-inspired animated movies) Wonder Woman costume.

I know the cartoon and those animated movies share the same designer, but why mix things up? She's even carrying a sword on her back! Will YJ Superman also be wearing the New 52-inspired armor with that off-putting V-neck?

I am going to be optimistic and say it is probably just a design choice and not an indication of SMWW or Superstalker. I am just counting my blessings that we got Donna in Titans and that she and Dick are close friends. It's all you can hope for with DC

I just hate the New 52 designs, specially any design where Wonder Woman is sporting a big ass sword as if it was her-go to weapon of choice. The obvious association with the DC DTV movies where SM/WW is a thing is another problem, of course.

I'm fine with her having a sword but the issue comes from usage of said sword as she should not be carrying it around like it's a crutch especially since DCs Amazons are a warrior people which means they would have trained with more then just swords. And considering Diana would have trained with them she should at the very least know her peoples hand to hand skills that with her enhanced strength should make bringing the sword pointless for most things.

At least it isn't Rosario Dawson voicing Diana. I like the actress but she just doesn't have Diana's voice in my opinion.

I know right? Every time I hear her I want to reach for the mute button. Her voice is just to 'tough' for Wonder woman. She doesn't give Diana that level-headed matriarchal tone she should have. Wonder woman should almost sound like a Disney princess at least to me.

Well Young Justice has premiered on DC Universe and I like the first episode. And I am happy to see that Donna exists in this universe as she is the Themysciran ambassador to the UN as shown in the 2nd episode. Doubt she will get much screen time but it is nice to see her.

seems no torrents are out just yet, which isn't that surprising, but if they managed to rip the Titans series, they will get to this soon enough as well, probably.

I was never a big fan of Young Justice, I like it fine enough but I just couldn't get all that invested in it. I don't like teen heroes and I especially don't like how the Justice League is depicted as an inefficient bureaucratic mess.

There is something off about it to me, the development in the world just feels forced, all the traditional Leaguers are forced out of their roles so they can be occupied by the not so Young Justice members. Just my opinion though.

Oh my fuck...

Episode 1 they show who is obviously Stephanie Brown in her Spoiler getup, but when her character passes through the teleport gate her name is obscured by dialogue, even though they call out Arrowette's name no problem.

After watching the first three episodes, I am cautiously optimistic.

I like the apparent direction of where things are going and the tone of the show. It's nice to see that some of our heroes have clearly grown in the interim, like Superboy.
I also like that they are creating new characters like Prince Brion and Halo.

The reason I am cautiously optimistic is because both previous seasons of Young Justice started interesting and promising and ended up having major problems near the end, especially pacing-wise.


Other than that, I quite enjoyed what was offered. I quite liked Nightwing and Oracle's text banter and was kind of confused by the Scene where Black Lighning jumps into the water, because it sure looked to me like he had broken his spine, but apparently not.
The show is getting a little dark and gruesome in places. What Plasmus did to Halo was fucking shocking.


In any case, I'm hoping this season manages to pull something real good out from the fire, because this show is probably at threat of cancellation or no further seasons with every episode, especially considering it very directly competes with the Titans show in all probability.

This isn't the first time Batman and Wonder Woman have butted heads in the YJ cartoon. I feel Weisman doesn't like Wonder Woman that much, or then he enjoys pitting Batman (usually the more sympathetic) and Wonder Woman (usually the more judgmental) as antagonists.
